1、 Origin and Purpose of the Competition

The purpose of the Smart Campus Project is to utilize advanced digital technology, digitization, cloud services, big data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things to enhance the convenience and efficiency of the school in teaching and research, campus life, and administration.

The project expects that through the various activities, we will slowly frame Tsinghua University's imagination of a smart campus.

All Tsinghua University students are invited to participate in this process.

Posters with creative ideas will have a chance to win prizes!

2、Competition schedule

(1) Preliminary round: Write the application form attached to the brief, Mail to the  

  application box by 23:59 on August 31, 2022 : shing614@gapp.nthu.edu.tw. The

  experts will select 6~10 groups of teams to enter the final round and submit the

  idea posters.

(2) Idea Poster:

 Within two weeks after the announcement of the finalists, submit a PDF file of

 the poster with a straight size (90cm * 120 cm) and a template provided by the

 organizer and printed by the organizer.

 Poster content should include:

 ．Title

 ．Author

 ．Introduction to the idea (with text and image descriptions, layout is not limited)

(3) Finalist: October 111, the finalist should submit the idea poster and introduce the

 idea content and respond to the judges' Q&A at the exhibition.

Note:

The schedule of the final competition is based on the final announcement of the organizer, and the final competition period should be accompanied by explanations before the exhibition poster.

3. Competition Scoring Criteria and Awards

(1)  Evaluation Criteria:

．Completeness and importance of the idea 40%

．Innovation of the idea 30%

．Feasibility of the idea 30%

(2) Competition Awards

．First place (1 team): $15,000 and a certificate.

．Second place (1 team): $10,000 and a certificate.

．Best work (several teams): $6,000 and a certificate.

．Popularity Award (2 teams): During the exhibition period, the audience will  

 participate in online voting, and the one with the most votes will be awarded a

 prize of $2,000 and a certificate.

4、 Participation Information

(1) Eligibility:

  All students enrolled in Tsinghua University can apply individually or as a group.

(2)  Preliminary examination information:

electronic file of application form (Word file and PDF file), please refer to the attachment.

(3)  Writing instructions:

Please briefly describe the idea of the creative proposal, the importance of the problem you wish to solve, the way to implement the idea, and the corresponding technical application.

6. Notes

If there is any counterfeiting, plagiarism, copying or infringement of rights in the winning entries, they will be disqualified if they are proved to be true.

The organizer has the right to photograph, record and exhibit (physically/online) the finalists' works.

The Smart Campus Project has the right to photograph, publish, publicize, exhibit, and publish other graphics for the purpose of publicity, promotion, and exhibition.

Participants should respect the professional evaluation of the jury members and should not disagree with the evaluation results.

The prize money will be collected by the team representative and will be distributed according to the administrative procedures of National Tsing Hua University.

If the number of entries is insufficient or does not meet the judging standard, certain prizes or entries may be excluded or reduced.

The organizer reserves the right to modify or terminate the event if there are any unfinished matters.
