This exhibition is organized by the Taiwan Sustainable Energy Research Foundation. National Tsing Hua University (NTU) is participating in the exhibition with "Tsinghua Sustainability 17 Implementation" as the main theme, sharing its achievements in sustainable development issues in recent years, including three themes: "Tsinghua Can Help See the Future", "SDGs × ESG Open Up Possibilities", and "USR × CSR Together".
The "Tsinghua Can Help See the Future" area aims to present the research results of net-zero emission technologies, covering three aspects: policy, energy storage technology and negative carbon technology. In addition, we will showcase the research and technological achievements of our collaboration with enterprises, such as mechanisms to improve energy efficiency, new energy use models, and research and development of zero carbon emission technologies.
The "SDGs × ESG Open Up Possibilities" area is a project-based showcase of the sustainable achievements of Tsinghua students and faculty in 2021, with ESG as the main axis. "The "Environment" section allows the viewer to rethink the symbiotic relationship between modern humans and nature, with the hope of achieving a win-win situation in which civilization and ecology are in balance, and provides a new solution to the serious challenges faced in safeguarding the environment. Governance" is based on industry-academia cooperation, promoting two-way communication between industry and academia, with the hope that the relationship between the two parties will eventually create a sustainable and prosperous economic prosperity.
The "USR × CSR Together" area hopes to use corporate resources as a focal point to enable schools and corporations to work together to fulfill their social responsibility, or to maximize the value of arts and cultural facilities that contribute to the sustainability of campus culture, or to help children in rural areas and poor students in higher education to pursue their studies without fear. This positive cycle will benefit and influence more people until it is sustainable in the whole social system.
