The 8th Global Views USR University Social Responsibility Awards is now officially open for submissions! The awards recognize outstanding achievements by universities in promoting social responsibility and sustainable development. Participation is not limited to teams involved in University Social Responsibility (USR) projects. All sustainability-related projects that demonstrate innovation and impact are welcome to apply.

To encourage participation by faculty members and teams at our university, the University will subsidize the entry fees for three teams. Eligible faculty members who are interested in participating are encouraged to apply for the subsidy.

I. Award Categories

The Outstanding Project Award features six categories:

  • Collaborative Learning and Talent Development
  • Local Inclusion and Community Engagement
  • Industry Collaboration and Co-Creation
  • Ecological Sustainability and Coexistence
  • Health and Well-being
  • Sustainability Education and Curriculum

II. Entry Fee Subsidy Information

  1. Entry Fee per Submission: NT$15,750.
  2. Number of Subsidies Available: The University will subsidize the entry fees for three teams.
  3. Application Deadline: Monday, November 16.
  4. Notification of Results: The Sustainability and Resilience Development Center (SRDC) expects to notify applicants of the subsidy results by the end of November.
  5. Application Procedure:
  6. Faculty members who wish to apply for an entry fee subsidy should download the application form for their selected award category and complete the 500-word abstract on page 3. The rest of the application form does not need to be completed at this stage.
  7. Please email the application form containing the completed abstract to the SRDC at rsdc@my.nthu.edu.tw by the application deadline.

III. Requirements for Teams Awarded a Subsidy

  1. After receiving notification of the subsidy results, successful applicants must register on the Global Views USR University Social Responsibility Awards website, complete the online award application, and pay the entry fee by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 22.
  2. After payment, please provide the electronic invoice to the SRDC for reimbursement processing.
  3. Teams that do not receive a subsidy may still enter the competition at their own expense. Faculty members from all disciplines are encouraged to participate.
