To showcase the University’s achievements in advancing sustainability and to foster cross-unit and interdisciplinary collaboration, National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) presents the “Sus-topia: The Future Starts with You — 2026 NTHU Sustainability Expo.” The exhibition is organized by the Committee for Sustainable Development, executed by the Sustainable and Resilient Development Center, and co-organized by Tsing Hua College. Through curated displays, the Expo brings together diverse sustainability initiatives across campus, highlighting both ongoing practices and future visions of sustainability at NTHU.

The theme “Sus-topia” combines the concepts of “Sustainability” and “Utopia,” reflecting both the aspiration for an ideal future and the belief that such a future is not distant, but can be realized through present-day actions. “The Future Starts with You” serves not only as a slogan, but also as a call to action—encouraging every participant to become a catalyst for change.

The exhibition features the work of two key student-driven initiatives: the 4th NTHU Student Ambassadors for Sustainability and the 5th NTHU Sustainable Solutions Proposal Program teams. The former explores sustainability issues through observation and thematic curation, offering new perspectives on campus and societal challenges. The latter focuses on implementation, transforming ideas into actionable solutions that demonstrate students’ interdisciplinary integration and practical engagement. Together, they represent a comprehensive journey from understanding problems to developing solutions.

The exhibition is structured around five thematic zones: “If Life Itself Is Change,” “If Expertise Can Shape the Future,” “If Energy Needs a Future,” “If Change Requires Resources,” and “Sustainable Solutions.” These themes guide visitors through different dimensions of sustainability—from everyday life and professional knowledge to energy issues and institutional resources—encouraging reflection on the roles individuals and communities play in shaping a sustainable future.

The “Sustainable Solutions” zone presents a variety of student-led projects addressing real-world challenges, including environmental conservation, technological innovation, social inclusion, and campus improvement. These projects demonstrate students’ creativity, critical thinking, and commitment to taking action.

In addition, a guided opening tour will be आयोजित during the exhibition period to facilitate interaction between visitors and student teams, further expanding the impact of sustainability initiatives on campus.

NTHU has long been committed to advancing sustainability through institutional development, curriculum design, research innovation, and campus practices. This Expo not only showcases existing成果 but also highlights the vital role of students in driving sustainability forward. The University will continue to support interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative practices, enabling ideas to evolve into impactful actions that extend beyond campus.
