In line with the international trend and Taiwan's 2050 net-zero emissions policy, NTHU announced this year (2022) that it will become a net-zero emissions sustainable campus. With this goal in mind, work on the carbon inventory and the planning and implementation of a net-zero emissions pathway for the campus will begin soon. Universities are the vanguard of knowledge innovation and talent cultivation for sustainable development, and campus sustainability is also a field of practice. Therefore, under NTHU's concept of sustainability and implementation together, the University has introduced new international knowledge and skills in carbon inventory and carbon reduction, and cultivated our faculty's knowledge and skills in this area to work together for carbon inventory and reduction on campus. With the accumulation of practical skills, the faculty will have the opportunity to obtain certification and other skills in the future, and develop new abilities in the social and industrial trend of net-zero emissions. Each college and department assigns colleagues who are involved in Net-Zero related business to attend workshops held by the university. The projects include: (1) Campus Carbon Inventory; (2) External Audit; (3) Tsinghua 2050 Zero Pathway Planning; and (4) Human Resource Training Program.
