By organizing a national sports technology forum, we created opportunities for collaboration among industry, government, and academia, fostering comprehensive discussions and innovative ideas on sensing device technology. Focusing on elderly exercise health, we integrated wearable devices and sensing technology to design personalized exercise guidance programs. Utilizing heart rate monitoring, gait analysis, and exercise data collection technologies, we developed a practical tool to enhance the efficiency and safety of elderly exercise. The results demonstrated that technology-assisted exercise guidance effectively improved exercise participation rates and health indicators among older adults, providing a novel solution for promoting healthy aging.
Seminar on exercise guidance for the elderly combining wearable and sensing technologies
Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
The main hope is to combine cross-field teachers, use the elderly's sports as the design context, and use wearable and sensing sports technology as applications to introduce the science of sports for the elderly, an introduction to wearable and sensing technologies, applications of wearable and sensing technologies, and integration of wearables. Topics such as the collection of exercise data for the elderly and service situations based on conventional technology and sensing technology, and lead students to carry out related application projects.
