1. Resuming in-person conference exchanges to share research findings
In the past two years, both parties have been unable to conduct on-site visits as they did in previous years due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, communication and interaction continued through virtual conferences. This marks the first in-person exchange between the two parties since the end of the pandemic. In addition to academic presentations by faculty scholars sharing their latest research results, the Japanese side has also arranged for the exchange and presentation of research findings by exceptional graduate students from both countries. We have rigorously selected five outstanding graduate students to participate in oral academic presentations and individual competitions with graduate students from Osaka University. This exchange model involves mutual observation between students from both institutions, achieving not only academic exchange but also fostering healthy competition. This enables Taiwanese graduate students to cultivate a more positive research motivation.
2. Providing Opportunities for Taiwanese and Japanese Cultural Exchange, Establishing Friendship and Enhancing the Quality of Graduate Education
Both sides exchanged souvenirs and special snacks, providing participants with opportunities not only for academic exchange, but also for cultural exchange in a relaxed atmosphere. We hope to conduct actual exchange visits in the future to continue the friendship between the two schools.
