NTHU has based its design and planning on green building standards since the architectural planning phase. This means that when constructing various buildings on campus, the school pays special attention to environmentally friendly design concepts, aiming to reduce resource waste and environmental impact during the building process.
All campus buildings constructed after 2000 have been certified to meet relevant green building standards. This indicates that these buildings have adopted sustainable development concepts throughout their design, construction, and operation processes, ensuring that the buildings comply with locally recognized green building standards in terms of energy consumption, water resource utilization, waste management, and occupants' health and comfort.
At the same time, all buildings on campus are equipped with water-saving faucets. These water-saving fixtures can significantly reduce water usage and minimize unnecessary waste of water resources. This measure not only effectively conserves water resources but also helps lower the school's water bills during operations, playing a positive role in environmental protection. The installation of these water-saving faucets is part of the school's commitment to implementing sustainable development principles in its green building initiatives.
