Abstract/Objectives
This lecture explores research on the development of learners' creative thinking in English as a Second Language (L2) education. In an increasingly globalized world, language learning extends beyond grammar and vocabulary to include critical and creative thinking skills. This talk will discuss the role of creative thinking in English learning, review key research findings, and examine how creativity can be fostered in the classroom. Additionally, effective teaching strategies and assessment methods will be shared to help educators enhance students’ creative expression and flexible language use.
Results/Contributions

This lecture provided the audience with a deeper understanding of the development and application of creative thinking in English as a Second Language (L2) education. The speaker explored how creativity influences language learning and introduced effective strategies to enhance students’ linguistic creativity and expression. Through teaching methods such as open-ended questions, storytelling, and intercultural activities, students can develop greater flexibility in language use, increased motivation, and improved communication skills. Additionally, the speaker shared research findings highlighting that creative thinking not only supports language acquisition but also fosters intercultural understanding and communication. This lecture helped the audience recognize that creativity in language learning is not merely a tool for expression but also a vital bridge for comprehension and interaction.
