Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
Students in this course applied various theories and concepts to individual research projects, culminating in a final report. Their research topics focused on different cultural and political issues, such as the impacts of the video game "Detention," debates over sound heritage ownership in Kuo Ying-nan's "Elderly Drinking Song," and a critical analysis of the Kaohsiung Labor Museum. They also investigated the connection between heritage and community within the Taipei Cangyan community, explored the complex development and influence of difficult heritage in Taiwan, and analyzed the politics of memory in Hong Kong. Each project reflects the diverse ways heritage and culture intersect with contemporary societal issues.
