"This study will evaluate whether the background knowledge of color and different types of color interfaces affect the quality of color design outputs through behavioral observations, quantitative evaluations of color design outputs, and other methods. For many years, discussions have been held in design and color education, both domestically and overseas, about what constitutes appropriate color education in the field of design. One point of contention in international literature and professional circles is whether professional education in design practice should be based on declarative knowledge or experiential, hands-on color design experience. Since 2017, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has implemented a color professional certification system in reference to the system in Japan and South Korea. The training methods, testing methods, and subject matter are still being developed. This study investigates whether a foundation in color knowledge is beneficial for color design output in practical planning."
