Start by collecting humor stimulus materials to practise, become self-confident and talkative as well as exercise self-expression ability in an amusing way. Because brain mechanisms for offensive humor and common humor appreciation of those who are afraid of being laughed at and then to be considered to lack a sense of humor, are also less active. During classes, the instructor arranges activities which involve humor; teaches self-deprecating humor to make fun of oneself in order to strengthen the humor response ability to offensive humor; and further demonstrates how to use humorous style "one-liner jokes" materials to enhance humor understanding and appreciation. Secondly, the ability of communicating in a certain language does not guarantee understanding of the jokes of foreign cultures. The sense of humor and taboos between various cultures are not identical. Moreover, their representants know how to use humor according to the situation, culture and environment. Finally, humor might boost social relations. However, not every sense of humor is positive. It is like a double-edged sword. The improper use could hurt people. On the contrary, its clever use may relax tense atmosphere. It would make people laugh. In Chinese society, people appreciate humor styles that improve social relations (self-deprecating humor and friendly humor), especially self-deprecating humor. Appreciation of self-deprecating humor has significantly higher functional connectivity in the frontal temporal lobe and frontal lobe than self-enhancing humor, the amygdala-frontal connection is also higher than aggressive humor. Moreover, appreciation of affiliative humor is much higher than self-enhancing humor in the nucleus accumbens-temporal lobe connectivity, and the connectivity between the temporal parietal lobe and frontal lobe is relatively higher than aggressive humor.
