The Mlyňany Botanical Garden of the Slovak Academy of Sciences manages the largest collection of non-native trees and shrubs in Slovakia and one of the richest collections of tree species in Central Europe. Although Taiwan is a country with a narrow land and dense population, although there is no botanical garden as large as the Mlyňany Botanical Garden, the Mlyňany Botanical Garden's efforts in environmental planning, environmental education and business models can be worthy of reference by the Taiwan Botanical Garden. Dr. Chao from the Department of Environmental Studies led student to participate during July 2022. He participated in various management matters in the local Mlyňany Botanical Garden of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and provided assistance in the development of environmental education in the park. This project implements SDGs 12, 13, 15. Among them, "15.4 By 2030, ensure the conservation of mountain ecosystems, including their biodiversity, to enhance the benefits they provide vital to sustainable development. ", as the main subject of obedience. After this internship, it was found that the Arboretum enriched the participants' knowledge of forest activities through lesson plans, and the cost of interpretive services was returned to the operation of the park. At the same time, the Arboretum also provides the best place for college and university students to practice ; in the future, these experiences can provide as a reference for the operation and management of the Arboretum in Taiwan.
