Abstract/Objectives
Living in the Taiwanese society in troubled times, it is essential to rethink our values. In Dec. 2019, the Library started the themed event of “Writing in Taiwan” as an expansion of the Library Month. Professors of NTHU and experts from all fields were invited to give a list of 100 books about Taiwan. Through the lens of the authors, students can learn to appreciate the depth and width of the Taiwanese cultural landscape, and consequently learn more about oneself, learn more about our land and our identity. Furthermore, the event also aims to motivate students to read, starting from experts’ recommendations. From these quality reading materials, students can begin keeping the habit of reading, and further shape the reading atmosphere in the campus.
