Abstract/Objectives
This project, set in the Mawudu community of Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County, uses art therapy to foster cultural preservation, local identity, and children's self-expression. Integrated into the "Mawudu Summer School" camp, activities include parent-child art therapy and ecological exploration, encouraging connection between residents and their homeland. A children's photography exhibition concludes the project, showcasing their unique perspectives and capturing the beauty and essence of Mawudu.
Results/Contributions

This project centers on art as a medium to preserve the memories and stories of the community through creativity and imagery, embedding cultural values into the hearts of its residents and achieving the mission of cultural creation and preservation. Through diverse art therapy and exploration activities, participants are guided to observe and experience their hometown deeply, discovering overlooked details and beauty. This process helps them reconnect with their surroundings, fostering a stronger sense of place and local identity.

For children in rural areas, the project specifically designs art activities to compensate for their limited cultural exposure, enhancing their self-expression and inner exploration. These creative activities not only support the personal growth of children but also serve as a bridge to connect families and the community.

Moreover, the process of artistic creation encourages participants to express themselves creatively, deepening their awareness of self, others, and their hometown. It also inspires happiness and emotional connection. This initiative is not only a celebration of culture and art but also a journey of discovering joy and identity, allowing each participant to find their own sense of value and inspiration.
