Summary: This course is to train the ability of string ensemble, through the string ensemble repertoire to practice various music styles, skills, timbre and try to read the score. In the classroom, there are also individual fragment tests and group divisions and large group ensembles to demonstrate the communication, organization, and response abilities of the group performance, and can also improve the skills of individual instruments. Target: - Each semester will practice different styles of repertoire: baroque-classical-romantic - Preliminary division exercises of the course: Divide the string orchestra into four major categories: first violin, second violin, viola, cello/bass, and practice the details of each instrument according to the different problems of each instrument (notation, number of staff), and pay attention to intonation and timbre requirements. - Overall practice for string orchestra: When everyone has mastered their own parts in the division stage, they will participate in group practice and integrate the repertoire learned by the division through overall performance.
