Abstract/Objectives
Writing difficulty refers to the lack of writing-related abilities and the difficulty in using writing for communication. Students with writing difficulties often experience emotional or behavioral problems due to their academic performance, difficulties in school life, or low self-confidence.
In addition to academic learning, students with writing difficulties have fewer opportunities to engage in extracurricular writing activities and develop spontaneous writing strategies.
This study combines art activities with interventions for students with writing difficulties as the theme to be explored. It aims to assist students with writing difficulties in overcoming obstacles. Through participation in art activities, it seeks to discover their other strengths and abilities, develop new interests and hobbies, thereby building self-confidence, and reducing the likelihood of emotional or behavioral problems.
Results/Contributions
The results of this study found that the intervention program combining art activities did not significantly improve writing performance but showed some effectiveness in reducing anxiety.
Therefore, it is suggested that future research should continue to explore and investigate from several aspects, including (1) the duration and timing of the study, (2) the characteristics and selection of research subjects, (3) the application of intervention strategies, and (4) whether to collaborate with art therapists.
