Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
In 2025, Taiwan is about to enter a super-elderly society, and traditional concepts generally regard mature people as a group in need of long-term care, but ignore their physical, mental, and spiritual pursuit of growth. This program aims to encourage seniors to actively participate in intergenerational exchanges and health activities through cross-generational dialogue opportunities to promote value co-creation. The goals of the project include changing society's perception of the elderly, promoting the elderly's active participation in health, promoting intergenerational exchange and value creation, building a diverse knowledge base community, and working with Qinghua to establish a sustainable social cooperation mechanism.
Results/Contributions

Through the specific feedback provided by the students of the Department of Psychological Counseling, we know that they think this is a great opportunity. During the presentations and lectures on stage, we could see that the participants were engrossed in their attitude, showing their high level of attention and participation in the event. At the same time, the chaperones also expressed their longing for this model, hoping to continue to promote and expand the unique services of Qingda to the greater Hsinchu area. This model of deep engagement and positive feedback not only provides a meaningful learning experience for mature adults, but also helps us extend Tsinghua University's unique social service model to the wider community and achieve a deeper social impact. The oldest participant in this event was 88 years old, and the youngest chaperone was under 5 years old. The sports event named "Mature Age" is not only held for mature people, but also becomes a warm time for cross-generational emotional exchange and interaction, presenting a beautiful picture of all ages participating together, highlighting the inclusiveness of the event and the importance of cross-generational communication.
