Pollution and sewage brought by industrialization has been gaining awareness. Piezo-photocatalyst is a promising approach for clean water production, which is directly related to SDG 6: clean water and sanitation. In our research, few-layered WSifZnO can be synthesized via facile and low-cost LPE method and has outstanding ability of degrading Methylene Blue under light and ultrasonication exposure. By utilizing the renewable energy such as sun and wave, or recycling the wasted mechanical forces of industry, few-layered WSi/ZnO owns the potential to attain the SDG 6: clean water and sanitation target.
