This project is led by Li Tianjian, acting director of the Tsinghua University Regional Innovation Center. In response to the development needs of food and farming education, our school has planned and implemented two major projects, "Large Hsinchu Food and Farm Education Regional Support System Project" and "Food and Farm Education Base and Support Network." Both projects focus on the region, connecting university communities, startups, NGOs, social enterprises, cultural and ecological workers, etc., to collaboratively design a service system that creates value for consumers and producers. Through practices such as "food education literacy, local production and consumption, experiential economy, and food and farm maps," we integrate food and farming education into consumers' "daily diet" and "lifestyle leisure," developing a lifestyle that connects land, community, and cultural history, gradually guiding consumers to understand and actively participate in regional agricultural and food safety policies. Our school's food and farming project has the following characteristics and innovations: 1. For the first time, the concept of regionality consolidates cross-sector resources, creating a regional support system for food and farming education, particularly deepening into cultural and ethnic levels, with important reference value for future regional food and farming education across the country. 2. Establish a regional research and development center to integrate existing and future food and farming education resources, teaching materials, and agriculture-related food and farming education information integration platform teaching resources in Greater Hsinchu, and develop food and farming teaching cases and activity plans with regional characteristics. 3. Establish the "Greater Hsinchu Regional Friendly Accreditation Mechanism," which includes "food" and "venues" to encourage the relevant "food" and "venue" entities to undergo accreditation (certification). 4. Take the lead in promoting food and farming education demonstration bases, market schools, etc., horizontally integrating food and farming resources within the region, also through resource integration, creating accessibility to the circular economy of upstream, midstream, and downstream in the base, shortening food and farming miles, and deepening food and farming education.
