Abstract/Objectives
With the promotion of the Southbound Policy and the rise of India, the importance of India is increasingly recognized. However, Taiwan society has a limited understanding of Indian culture. Aside from Buddhist exchanges, cultural interactions between Taiwan and India in other areas are not connected closely. In fact, as one of the world's ancient civilizations, India has a long history and profound cultural heritage, playing a significant role in the development of human civilization.
In light of the above, this course aims to explore the diversities of India from a cultural perspective. By examining issues related to India's historical background, religion, literature, soft power, social issues, and human resources, we hope to understand the context and current state of contemporary Indian cultural development, thereby establishing a foundation for Indian studies.
