Results/Contributions
Through the Introduction to Indian Culture course, students gain a deeper understanding of the diversity of Indian culture, including aspects such as language, religion, art, music, dance, and festivals. This understanding helps enhance cross-cultural sensitivity and respect. In the course, we explore India's social structure, including the caste system, family life, and social customs, allowing students to understand how these factors influence people's daily lives. Additionally, students are exposed to Indian cinema and literature, analyzing their roles in expressing cultural identity and social issues. By analyzing and discussing different cultural phenomena, students will be able to cultivate critical thinking and comparative analysis skills, which will help them understand cultural interactions in a globalized context. Students will be better equipped to think about and express perspectives related to Indian culture within a broader international framework.
