This project follows the core concept of social imagination from the previous project, and explores the religious practice phenomenon mediated by the material culture of religion, starting from the perspective of Mazu's bond objects. Through the interaction between actors and objects (bond objects), and the crowd relationships and social situations generated by their attachment to Mazu's bond, it seeks to understand whether there are multiple intertwining and flowing phenomena in contemporary society. Through personal experiences, believers have a certain understanding, practice, and social imagination of Mazu's pilgrimage culture. Through the process of producing, giving, exchanging, and using bond objects, this study hopes to understand the relationship between the life story of the actor and Mazu's bond, and whether it affects personal beliefs (the relationship between man and God) and self-realization (the relationship between man and self). Does the connection (Mazu's bond) through bond objects have the potential to expand personal and social relationships with others? What are the characteristics of the emerging community?
