Abstract/Objectives
The music materials in this course are that are close to students' lives. Through the introduction, students' appreciation of music will be developed. To achieve the integration of music and other fields Aesthetic, this course starts with listening to music, allowing students to experience music, speculate on issues, stimulate creativity, and understand the local music culture and connect with it. Stimulate their willingness to actively participate in related arts and cultural activities, so that they can still achieve the benefits of lifelong learning after the course is over.
Results/Contributions

In this course, students learn the characteristics of various types of music and their history, including classical music from Baroque to modern, Broadway musicals, jazz music, Taiwanese Folk Songs, Taiwanese opera tunes, etc. In addition, this semester course focuses on the connection between the local culture of Hsinchu and Taiwanese opera music, so the final topic for students is the innovative performance of Hsinchu local cultural stories. The story script takes Hsinchu's local historical stories as the main axis and adds student-related life experiences to show the figure and singing voice of Taiwanese opera.
