Abstract/Objectives

Selected topics in molecular biology and biochemistry which are fundamental for biotechnology and metabolic engineering will be discussed during classes. Apart from introduction into cell metabolism, this course focuses on the application of various techniques in the production of renewable chemicals and fuels.

Results/Contributions

§ Development of the ability to learn in the fields related to metabolic engineering.

§ Innovative thinking and independent research.

§ Knowledge about the global development of biorefinery in industry and academia and its application toward society.
