The dragon boat race in Hsinchu City was suspended for many years due to the pandemic. In 2023, it resumed and our group inquired about the participation of foreign degree students. We recruited coaches and formed a group of foreign degree students, eventually forming 2 teams to compete. Starting from early April 2023, we conducted a 2-month training program for physical fitness and on-site training, with one of the teams finally winning first place in the Hsinchu City Dragon Boat Race for social groups!

Throughout the event, students participated enthusiastically, overcoming difficulties to attend group training on weekends, enhancing team cohesion. This allowed foreign students from different countries to get to know each other better, understand the historical background of the Dragon Boat Festival, personally experience the dragon boat race, and gain a deeper understanding of the culture and history of Taiwan.
