NTHU has formed a University Affairs Council responsible for discussing and making decisions on significant university issues.

NTHU has established a University Affairs Council to deliberate and decide on major university matters. The council is composed of the President, Vice Presidents, the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Student Affairs, the Dean of General Affairs, the Dean of Research and Development, the Dean of Global Affairs, the Chief Information Officer, the Chief Secretary, the Executive Vice Dean of the Tsing Hua College, the Deans of each college, the Dean of the Semiconductor Research College, faculty representatives, four staff representatives, one representative of other related personnel, and student representatives.

Among them, the number of faculty representatives elected shall be one-tenth of the total number of full-time faculty members and must not be less than half of the total members of the council.

The University Affairs Council is convened and chaired by the President and shall meet at least once per semester.3
