Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
‘AI for the public’ is a project aiming to realize the aspiration of AI for public goods in Humanity and social science (HSS). The third phase will build upon the work completed in the previous two phases over three years which includes: Establishing and developing an AI text labeling platform for HSS, along with related guidelines; Organizing interdisciplinary AI consultation meetings, forums, and workshops among eleven HSS academic disciplines; Editing and publishing two interdisciplinary books on AI based on HSS perspectives; Producing a ten episode online AI introductory course for HSS audiences and numerous public promotional materials in text and video formats. Building upon these, we will devote ourselves to accomplishing the following tasks: 1. Promoting the application of the generative AI prompts engineering for humanities and social sciences (AIGC Prompt Engineering for HSS). 2. Releasing publicly available AI seed datasets and research examples. 3. Establishing a civic AI empowerment infrastructure, including an automated labelling platform. 4. Exploring the possible consensus on AI ethics during the local implementations among HSS communities. Through these efforts, we hope to contribute the efforts of HSS to promote better developments of AI for the future of our society.
