Abstract/Objectives
According to Erikson (1968) and his psychosocial development theory, the sixth stage—early adulthood (ages 19–30)—centers on the critical developmental task of "establishing intimate relationships" (intimacy vs. isolation), addressing the challenges of intimacy and loneliness. In other words, forming intimate relationships is a crucial developmental task during early adulthood and one of the key issues faced by college students. To help students gain a deeper understanding of the true essence of love and the psychology of intimate relationships, develop healthy perspectives and attitudes toward dating, and courageously pursue fulfilling romantic relationships, this course adopts a social psychology and counseling perspective. It explores the psychological and interpersonal aspects of love development, encourages students to reflect on their personal views and values regarding intimacy, and fosters their ability to build healthy and fulfilling romantic relationships.
Results/Contributions

This course assesses students' learning outcomes through the following three methods:

1.Intimate Relationship Interview: Students will independently find an individual with dating experience and conduct a face-to-face interview with one partner in a couple. Using the interview guidelines provided in class, students will collect qualitative data on the development and management of romantic relationships.

2.In-Class Quizzes: Unscheduled quizzes will be administered approximately three times throughout the semester. The quizzes will cover lecture content and serve as an assessment of students' learning progress.

3.Personal Analysis on Love and Relationships: Students may freely choose a topic related to love and relationships from popular culture—such as books, films, TV series, or news articles. They will then write a personal analysis incorporating relevant classroom knowledge or academic references, sharing their observations and insights on romantic relationships gained from the course.
