This workshop featured a presentation by Professor Zhang Hao from I-Shou University, titled "Late Qing Scientific Instrument Illustrated Books: Science Popularization Trends and Commercialization," with comments from Professor Xu Guangtai, an honorary retired professor at our university's General Education Center.

Assistant Researcher Chen Donghe from the National Palace Museum presented on "Venetian Glass in Eastern and Western History: Origins, Manufacturing, and Aesthetic Value," with comments from Professor Lai Huimin, a researcher at the Institute of Modern History at the Academia Sinica.

The third session included reports by doctoral students Lin Xiaoqian and Sun Yifan, with comments from retired Associate Professor Qiu Yunru from Chang Gung University.

Associate Researcher Zhang Zhejia from the Institute of Modern History at the Academia Sinica delivered a talk on "Kangxi Emperor's Rouge Wine," with feedback from Assistant Researcher Liu Shixun at the National Palace Museum.

Assistant Professor Wu Guosheng from our university's Department of History presented on "Rod of Asclepius as a remedy: Greek Elements in a Tibeto-Mongolian Materia Medica by Jam-dpal-rdo-rje (1792-1855)," aiming to trace the origins of Tibetan and Mongolian medicine.

The main speaker for the third session was Professor and Director of our Department of History, Mao Chuanhui, who presented on "Natural History Investigation and Handicraft Development in 18th and 19th Century Europe—Knowledge Construction of Wild Silkworms in Global Perspective," with comments from Dr. Chen Deqin, a veterinarian at the Yehliu Ocean World.

The final speaker, Professor Michela Bussotti, connected with everyone via video, with retired Professor Lang Yuan (Alexei Volkov) from our university's General Education Center serving as the commentator.

In this workshop, not only were there wonderful presentations by senior professors and scholars, but there were also learning attempts by new scholars and graduate students. This also showcased the support and encouragement given by the professors to students in their thesis writing and publication, highlighting the student-teacher interaction that encourages more and more researchers in the field of the history of science, allowing this area to flourish.
