Abstract/Objectives

Prof. Lee Chia-Tung, former president of NTHU and founder of BOYO Social Welfare Foundation, has been constantly providing learning resources including books donation and after-school program to children in remote areas, so that no children are stuck in the poverty trap. In 2017, the Library got an opportunity to take part in this effort, in the form of “Donate Books for the Kids－Books to BOYO”, lasting from 10/24 to 11/9. Accepted types of donations includes Chinese/English children’s books, teenagers’ books, and popular science books. A total of 3289 books donated had arrived at the four branches of BOYO Foundation (Yilan Center Tatung Junior High School Office, Xinyi Chenyoulan Center, Xinyi Zhuoshui Center, and Chiayi Center).

Results/Contributions
