Abstract/Objectives
NTHU applied for the subsidy project of the Ministry of Education's "Campus Energy Resource Management and Environmental Safety and Hygiene Project" - "Building a Smart Low-Carbon Campus Project" for the self-energy improvement subsidy project, and implemented the hot water system improvement project of hostel of NTHU in 2020. Subsidy funds The cost of 800,000 yuan is to introduce solar water heater and heat pump system, adjust the original gas boiler system to auxiliary backup heating, and introduce automatic control of energy-saving management system to save management manpower and reduce operating costs.
Results/Contributions
The improvement project is expected to save at least 240,000 yuan (45% of the saving rate) per year, and it is expected to reduce carbon emissions by about 22,843 kgCO2e per year. At the same time, relevant observation meetings and energy-saving counseling work in nearby high schools are held to improve the overall campus energy-saving efficiency.
