Abstract/Objectives
This program will help research participants to improve their digital learning skills, understand international human rights conventions, understand the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and enable research participants to understand the characteristics and needs of people with disabilities through hands-on course activities, and lead research participants to understand universal design and accessibility. Finally, the learning outcomes of the research participants were reviewed to promote disability education and enhance the understanding and knowledge of the research participants for people with disabilities.
Results/Contributions

Research participants learned how to draw maps, had more reflections on cultural equality, and were able to connect the theoretical knowledge with practical experience. After the practical experience, they were inspired to develop more ideas to improve the cultural equality for the visually impaired, and tried to put them into practice. example (tactile map in the figure).

 

In addition, through this project, the research participants can simulate and learn the use of smart apps as visually impaired people. The research participants not only share the experience of the mobile phone recognition of environment APP, but also upload the discussion results to the teaching platform for classroom sharing.

Research participants also participated in the application of the APP to experience the orientation mobility for the visually impaired in this project, and the process was recorded.

 

At the end of the project, the research participants were able to understand how people with visual impairment can use the APP to assist them in their daily activities, and transform convenient and portable communication tools into mobility aids, so as to improve the quality of life of people with visual impairment through technology, in order to achieve the goal of SDGS which is to reduce the inequality and improve the quality of education for people with visual impairment.
