Abstract/Objectives
The music materials in this course are that are close to students' lives. Through the introduction, students' appreciation of music will be developed. To achieve the integration of music and other fields Aesthetic, this course starts with listening to music, allowing students to experience music, speculate on issues, stimulate creativity, and understand the local music culture and connect with it. Stimulate their willingness to actively participate in related arts and cultural activities, so that they can still achieve the benefits of lifelong learning after the course is over.
Results/Contributions
In this course, students learn the characteristics of various types of music and their historical origins, including classical music from Baroque to modern times, Broadway musicals, jazz music, Taiwanese Hoklo ballads, Gezi Opera singing styles, etc. In addition, this semester’s course focuses on soundscape recording, using Dongmen Market as the site for collecting soundscape data.
