Abstract/Objectives
As early campus buildings were gradually demolished or reconstructed, and as the university's landscape and architecture continuously evolved and expanded, the Yuehan Hall, the Main Auditorium, and the Bailing Hall have remained among the few structures preserved to this day. These buildings collectively carry the shared memories and emotional connections of many NTHU alumni. In light of this, the library has launched the special exhibition "Memories of NTHU Formed and Transmitted: The Yuehan Hall, the Main Auditorium, and the Bailing Hall." This exhibition provides some background on the origins, history, and future development of these three important buildings, which have become the repositories of so many timeless memories from the early years of NTHU.
Results/Contributions
The Yuehan Hall is the starting point of Tsinghua's founding in Taiwan, the Bailing Hall is where the Meizhu Competition derives its name, and the Main Auditorium once served as a weekend cinema for faculty and students. Over time, the three halls have evolved in different ways, yet what remains unchanged is their collective role in preserving and weaving together the lasting emotions and memories of the Tsinghua community. Through the exhibition, not only can alumni relive the wonderful memories of their campus life, but faculty and students can also gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Tsinghua's development, fostering a stronger sense of identity and connection.
