Abstract/Objectives

During the epidemic, school canteens can only be taken out, and the waste generated by disposable tableware is piled up like a mountain, highlighting the urgency of reducing the use of disposable tableware. This event attracted more than one hundred Tsing Hua University students to participate in the proposal through a competition, and put forward solutions through the "Design Thinking Workshop". In the event, "Good Box" and "Qing Piao" two companies that provide environmentally friendly tableware rental companies shared their experience; received a 100,000 yuan bonus sponsorship and environmental shoe prize sponsorship from "Chi Green International", and CEO Xu also shared after the game The promotion of environmentally-friendly products internationally; Director Jiang of the Hsinchu City Environmental Protection Bureau came to encourage the students; the General Secretary of National Tsing Hua University Yan also promised to refer to these proposals and invite interested students to participate in the follow-up discussion on the promotion of environmentally friendly tableware on campus.

Results/Contributions

The top three winning teams of this event put forward different solutions: First place (ISS): launch the "NTHU POINTS" system, use environmentally friendly tableware, you can accumulate one point, and then you can participate in the lottery or enjoy discounts; use object detection Recognition technology is used to make "Tsinghua Grandma Dishwasher" to improve the cleanliness of tableware. Second place (Tsinghua University double master Cai tableware brought by himself): Increased barriers to obtaining disposable tableware. The store does not take the initiative to provide one-time participation. It needs to be purchased at the disposable tableware vending machine of Mizuki Department Store, which can only be bought five times a month. The use of environmentally friendly tableware can be discounted. Third place (fast-fetching eco-friendly lunch box): The barcode is linked to the student ID, and the LINE account is bound to borrow and return tableware. When the take-out is practical, it will be recycled at each department at a fixed time. Use LINE to track the recycling status of the tableware, and clean it after recycling. Then send it back to the store.
