Abstract/Objectives

Based on Jean Piaget's and Lev Vygotsky's Theory of Cognitive Development, we will discuss various aspects of learning psychology for science (e.g., constructivist view of learning, concept learning, student diversity in learning, thinking and reasoning and learning interests and motivations). Through the classroom discussion, we are going to connect students’ learning or teaching experiences with theories of learning psychology for science.

Results/Contributions

1.        Learn theories related to learning psychology for science.

2.        Clarify multiple aspects included in learning psychology for science.

3.        Analyze empirical studies related to science learning.

4.        Connect personal experiences in science learning and teaching with learning psychology for science.
