During the Christmas season in Taiwan, international students participated in a comprehensive program combining Christmas caroling with nature and humanities cultural experiences. The students visited community churches, singing carols to share holiday greetings and experiencing the warmth and festive spirit of Taiwanese Christmas celebrations. Through this activity, they not only practiced musical performance skills but also engaged with local residents, fostering cross-cultural understanding and building meaningful connections within the community.
Beyond the holiday celebrations, the program included explorations of Taiwan’s natural and cultural landscapes. Students visited local sites to appreciate scenic views, learn about ecosystems, and gain insights into Taiwan’s history, traditions, and cultural stories. Activities ranged from observing wetlands and visiting historical landmarks to participating in traditional folk practices, allowing students to experience local lifestyles and cultural heritage firsthand. These interactive experiences enriched their knowledge while deepening their appreciation for Taiwanese culture.
