This program is designed for high school students with excellent math skills, strong interest in math, or potential, special courses is offered on Saturdays and Sundays during the semester. The faculty come from the mathematics department of National Tsing Hua University and professors with extensive experience in teaching and research in the Northern Taiwan. We also invite experienced teachers from high schools to support and implement the project together. In addition, we invite Olympians in mathematics to conduct problem solving to cultivate a few students who are interested in international Olympiads. The curriculum is designed to help students understand the nature of mathematics and use mathematics to express and solve problems. Students will have the right attitude towards mathematical research and recognize the value of mathematical problem solving, thus entering the field of mathematics as a new hope for fundamental talents in the study of mathematics in our country.
Results/Contributions

The program offers a variety of courses in three different ability levels.

Objectives for each class:

Beginner Class:

The goal is to develop students' interest in mathematics, and the curriculum focuses on basic mathematics.

Advanced Class:

With the goal of deepening and training people from science and engineering backgrounds, the curriculum focuses on more advanced areas of basic mathematics.

Elite Class:

The purpose of the course is to develop project and research skills and to improve problem solving skills, and to train a few students who are interested in international Olympiads.

Classes are conducted in a physical format and videos are recorded and played every other week for online review after class.

In order to establish a good communication channel with students, we set up a fan page on Facebook, a popular social networking site, and created a list of students' Facebook accounts with their real names, which not only provides an immediate contact with students and parents, but also creates a Facebook community to discuss curriculum issues.

At the end of the semester, we hold a physical final exam in which each instructor provides appropriate questions based on the content of the class in order to understand the students' learning status; and we select students with good grades and recommend and train them to participate in math competitions.
