Abstract/Objectives
Interdisciplinary education in Taiwan is not yet sufficiently prevalent and is missing practical, hands-on components. STEAM education that's important for international development isn't just for city kids. Shakeng Elementary School in Hengshan Township, Hsinchu County, has been established over 106 years. Due to transportation challenges and population shifts, Shakeng Elementary School currently has only 21 students enrolled. Since 2020, we have been establishing “STEM with A” playground in the Maker classroom at Shakeng Elementary School, design multiple teacher training classes, and workshops for students. In the past year, we have continued to optimize the STEAM innovative education at Shakeng Elementary School. Showcase the outcomes of our committed work at Shakeng Elementary School to the broader community, aiming to refresh its image through STEAM interdisciplinary education.
Results/Contributions

1. Finish the series of  “Advanced Interactive STEAM Maker workshops.”  We have assembled the 'Hand-cranked Dinosaur' to explore axle applications, study perspective in character arrangement and digital fabrication, create programmable stage plays, and learn how to construct a fireworks drum using MakeyMakey components.


2. Finish the “Anniversary Celebration Shakeng Elementary School 106th Anniversary with Air Printer Performance Initiative.” We brought the Air Printer workshop to Shakeng Elementary School, all of the students provided a congratulatory message for the school anniversary and held Air Printer on the air to print out a whole congratulatory message.


3. Finish 'STEM with A' results with Shakeng Elementary School for Maker Faire exhibition. We advance to the largest maker and education carnival in Taiwan, the Maker Faire Taipei exhibition, to let the outside world see the determination and dedication of rural schools in promoting STEAM's innovative education. Further, allow children to build courage and broaden their horizons through activities
