The workshop focuses on the health of Indigenous peoples and culturally sensitive healthcare. Through the research and sharing of multiple experts, it explores cultural sensitivity in health policy, mental health, and medical education, as well as the application of cultural safety in healthcare. Research findings indicate that the health issues facing Indigenous peoples are not only related to the accessibility of medical resources but are also significantly influenced by cultural adaptation, social context, and historical background. Future health policies and healthcare systems should place greater emphasis on cultural sensitivity and the differences in ethnic needs.
Health issues of Indigenous peoples should be promoted simultaneously from cultural, social, and policy levels. By establishing comprehensive health databases, developing mental health perspectives that align with ethnic cultures, enhancing cultural sensitivity in medical education, and implementing principles of cultural safety, we can help promote the health rights of Indigenous peoples and provide important direction for future healthcare policies and research.
