This event is a four-day camp organized by the Happy Children's Club at National Tsing Hua University, held at Hakka Elementary School in Miaoli County, targeting elementary school students from grades one to six. The activities include morning exercises, large group games, outdoor adventures, hands-on crafts, a fair, and character education dramas. Through a diverse and engaging activity design, the camp guides students to participate in physical activities and group interactions within a safe and supportive environment.
The drama in the camp aligns with SDG 10: Reduced Inequality, as it presents the concept of "promoting universal social, economic, and political inclusion" (TARGET 10.2). The storyline follows Yuantai, who experiences emotional turmoil due to academic pressure and becomes estranged from friends. This helps children understand that when a person is in a vulnerable or low point, a lack of understanding and support can easily lead to exclusion and unequal treatment. Conan and Dr. Agasa choose to listen and accompany him, while friends learn to let go of prejudices and re-accept Yuantai, symbolizing that society and schools should actively offer support rather than respond to differences with labels or discrimination. We explain to children that reducing inequality involves not only material distribution but also emotional support, mental health, and interpersonal inclusiveness. Additionally, we emphasize the elimination of discrimination and the promotion of equality in campus life. By creating an environment of understanding and cooperation, everyone can receive the same fair treatment, regardless of their starting point.
