Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
Since its establishment, Tsinghua University Cares for Life has continued to cooperate with the school to take care of the dogs on campus and promote the concept of correct interaction with dogs. With the TNVR system, school stray dogs are ligated and vaccinated regularly to effectively control the dog status in schools and protect the safety of teachers and students, which is directly related to the protection of land ecology by SDGs. The daily social affairs of Huaisheng Club covers three thematic categories at the same time: (1) Because the stray dogs on campus are more stable and relatives after being taken care of by the club, this greatly reduces the conflicts between humans and dogs on campus and reduces the school's handling of human-dog conflict Cost effectively achieves the "economic growth" of National Tsing Hua University. (2) Since the dogs are all fed at designated places, the chances of stray dogs to eat garbage and attack wild animals are reduced, which is in line with the goal of "environmental protection". (3) The Huaisheng Club of National Tsing Hua University has a long history. It has jointly established a beautiful and friendly animal campus environment with the school, which is a model for universities across the country. At the same time, the club promotes the correct concept of animal protection to teachers and students on campus and the primary and secondary schools in Hsinchu, and promotes life education, which conforms to the contemporary concept of respecting life and achieves the elements of "social progress".
