Abstract/Objectives
The early modern period (1500-1800) marks the beginning of modern society, with the mainstream ideas in science, art, ethics, politics, and historiography largely rooted in the thoughts developed during this time. In an era when academic disciplines had not yet fully specialized, Western modern philosophers naturally played significant roles across various fields. This course aims to guide students through the important philosophers and their philosophical ideas from this period, while also helping them understand the formation process of the modern society in which they live.
Results/Contributions

The course primarily involves the teacher introducing the planned course content, complemented by discussions in class to facilitate critical thinking. Finally, students' absorption and understanding will be assessed through midterm and final exams.

Keywords
