Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
We have been working with Hsinchu City Government to set up 4 YouBike stations with hundreds of rental bikes for riders to check out with Easy card, a debit card issued by Easy Card company. Moreover, a student group T-Bike organizes the campus free bike semester rental free service to reuse bikes dispelled by graduated students. After repairing these bikes by volunteer students, the T-Bike service promotes sustainability on campus.
Results/Contributions

Since the introduction of the public bicycle system into the campus, the school has achieved fruitful results in promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction. The annual application for bicycle parking permits has been reduced from 2,500 to 1,900, the annual application of motorcycle parking permits has been reduced from 4,200 to 3,900, and the annual subscription of second-hand bicycles on campus The number of bicycles has also been reduced from 283 to 218. More and more students are willing to use shared bicycles instead of self-use bicycles and motorcycles as short-distance means of transportation in daily life. It is obvious that the "shared bicycle system" has indeed driven the trend of bicycle riding, bringing more convenience to students. A high-quality life, and reduce the number of bicycles on campus, while improving environmental protection and solving the problem of bicycles on campus.
