NTHU environmental protection, safety and health management policy was passed by the Environmental Protection, Safety and Health Committee for the first time in 2009, and was signed by the principal and announced to the public. From 2020 onwards, in conjunction with the establishment and promotion of NTHU occupational safety and health management system (ISO45001:2018), the environmental protection and safety and health management policy will be re-examined, and the principal will announce it after signing it. In 2023, the entire campus will be included in the verification scope. In November 2023, an external audit conducted by the BSI verification agency was successfully passed.

1.Comply with laws and regulation related to environment protection, occupational safety issued by relevant authority.

2.Promote hazard detection as well as risk and opportunity assessment capability to eliminate hazards and reduce occupational safety and health risk by implementing independent management and automatic inspections.

3.Prevent occupational diseases, implementing health inspection and promotion.

4.Cooperate with supplier and contractor to jointly prevent disaster and protect the environment.

5.Promote and implement the knowledge of environment protection, occupational safety as well as sanitation among our faculty members and staff.

6.Encourage all faculty and staff to actively participate in activities that promote occupational safety and the general health by establishing a friendly consulting and knowledge sharing environment.

7.Continuously improve the promotion of occupational safety and sanitation management system through safety and health audit and inspection.

8.Maintaining environmental sustainability by promoting programs designed to develop ecological diversity and to provide responsible catering service, upholding green procurement, energy saving, carbon reduction as well as resource recycling policies to create and maintain a green campus.
