Abstract/Objectives
World AIDS Day, designated on December 1st by the WHO, is an international day dedicated to paying attention to and raising the public's awareness and concern, and the elimination of the stigma of AIDS. In hopes of arousing global attention to the issue of AIDS, accepting and caring for people living with AIDS, calling for global collaboration to promote public health policies on AIDS prevention and treatment, making an appeal for human rights on AIDS, and hoping that the world can do more for people living with AIDS. The HIV-infected population in Taiwan is mostly young adults, with those aged 15-34 accounting for 70% of the total infected people. Everyone needs to understand and take this disease seriously. NTHU also responded to this event, hoping that through 2022 World AIDS Day @ NTHU ‘See You Through My Eyes’ Activities, students and faculty can receive services and resources they need from prevention, screening to treatment, build a healthy and friendly environment, reduce barriers and discrimination, and move toward the goal of eliminating AIDS by 2030.
Results/Contributions

Through the activity, ‘Are you Game to get a Grant?’, on Nov. 29th, participants can learn proper sex knowledge while enjoying the game. We invited Public Health Bureau, Hsinchu City, The Garden of Hope Foundation, Taiwan Lourdes Association and Mental G House to hold this activity jointly on site. There were 330 participants, and 47 free HIV home screening test kit provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare were redeemed. 38 responses received from the ‘About sex, how much do you know?’ activity, 3 people shared their reflection on sex education reflection about love, home and non-heterosexual. Partnering with the NTHU Gender Equity Education Committee, the ‘Women Make Waves Film Festival 2022’ had the participation of 280 people. Partnering with the College of Life Science, we invited Taiwan Lourdes Association to hold the ‘Let’s Talk About Sex’ workshops, with topics ‘The Voice of AIDS-stigmatization due to pandemic’ and ‘World AIDS Day’, and attracted 98 people to participate. The activity reached 4,085 people on Facebook page and website. The total participation of the NTHU World AIDS Day activities is 4,881 people.
