Sustainable Development Goals

Abstract/Objectives

Focusing on the circular upcycling of eco-friendly recycled glass, this project utilizes cross-disciplinary technology to reconstruct crushed glass into a brand-new medium for design. The exhibition adopts the creative concept of a "Glass Aesthetic Clinic," promoting the philosophy of "Never Cast Aside; Shine Anew." This mission emphasizes the infinite possibilities of a total resource cycle, proving that no glass is beyond renewal. The core exhibits integrate blue-light-free OLED technology developed by Professor Jwo-Huei Jou’s team at National Tsing Hua University. By utilizing specialized "Candlelight-like" and "Sunlight-like" light spectra, the installation creates a multi-layered atmosphere of light and shadow, manifesting a profound dialogue between cutting-edge technology and craft aesthetics.

Results/Contributions

This exhibition centers on the craft of eco-friendly recycled glass, transforming discarded resources into high-value artistic creations. By successfully bridging cross-disciplinary technological aesthetics, the project facilitates a profound dialogue between glass art and material science. Through the innovative concept of a "Glass Aesthetic Clinic," we actively fulfill the social responsibility of a total resource cycle.

Regarding promotional impact, a series of five featured posts were published across various social media platforms. These efforts not only effectively boosted the exhibition's visibility but also successfully drew readers into the library, deepening public engagement with and awareness of sustainability issues.
