Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
To reduce the hazard risk of hazardous industrial waste storage, trucks are used to remove waste from each building to the centralized temporary storage room for storage every week. The site is equipped with exhaust facilities and spill collection pipelines, and laboratory waste will be disposed by a company certified by the Ministry of Environment.
Results/Contributions

1.Following NTHU environmental protection and occupational safety and health management policies, we will continue to promote various sustainable development programs on campus. This includes initiatives for campus biodiversity, responsible dining service consumption, green procurement, energy saving and carbon reduction, as well as resource recycling and reuse, all aimed at creating a green campus.

2.A wide variety of chemicals used in various experimental sites. Improper storage will increase the risk of hazards, so separate collection according to the characteristics of each type of waste. Dissimilar and incompatible wastes are clearly separated, and stored them in the site with Professional pollution prevention equipment. All acts are based on NTHU's waste disposal plan and comply with environmental protection laws. Due to reduce risk of personnel exposure to hazards, managers and operators are equipped with high-standard protective equipment. In 2024, a total of about 119 tons were cleared and transported.
