Abstract/Objectives
In recent years, cultural heritage conservation and management has been the focus of the active attention in the field of international cultural heritage.The theories about cultural heritage preservation and conservation founded by people over the past 100 years have gradually changed from the hard process of “preservation” to “restoration” to the fully developed stage of attaching importance to “management” and “conservation”.This means that as the people's awareness of cultural heritage preservation gradually enhance, the following issues of cultural heritage preservation will not only be good to stay, but also take care of better issues. This course focuses on inspiring and guiding students to understand the importance of cultural heritage management and conservation, and through the actual operation of domestic real cultural heritage cases, training students to complete an executable cultural heritage management and conservation plan and issues that it needs to face.The learning objectives of this course include the introduction of basic knowledge, the acquisition of professional knowledge, and the training of professional skills. It is expected that through the training of this course, students can have the ability of practical management and conservation in the field related to cultural heritage.
Results/Contributions

The goal of the plan is to make  students understand the issues about management of cultural heritage.It is going to be divided into three parts which will be implemented by structuring the knowledge of cultural heritage management, visiting the location to observe management  in Taichung and doing a project of conservation.The course is beginning with how to analyze and write a plan  and the topic is ‘Crowdfunding for Cultural Heritage’. Students need to choose a case which is about corporate funds, online fundraising platforms to study and introduce it in class so that they can find more information on funding. In addition, there are two lectures about the conservation of cultural landscapes and private  cultural heritage that is to make students have more opinions to deal with the problem of cultural heritage conservation. Following, by visiting the cultural heritages in Taichung and observing the management there, students may figure out whether the management really demonstrates the value of cultural heritages. Finally, there are 9 conservation plans output and the students combine the thesis with practical operation to write them. They also present the project in class and the issues are about team organization, financial situation, tourism promotion and education. 

In summary, in order to have a chance to practically do a conservation plan, there is a system of course to figure out how to propose a plan to operate a cultural  heritage. With the first assignment, the students can figure out some ways to fund cultural heritage to do conservation. The visiting in Taichung and the lecture make students know more cases of conservation and management in Taiwan. And then, the presentation of the conservation plan is an important part of this course because it is a consequence of what we learned in class. The course achieves the target to promote ideas about  cultural heritage  conservation and management that we may see more new power infused in the field of cultural heritage preservation.
