Abstract/Objectives
To create a win-win situation for economic development and environmental protection, in accordance with the policies of the Ministry of Environment, the generated used cooking oil will be handed over to recycling facilities to be processed into biodiesel. This aims to develop new energy sources, alleviate energy shortages, and reduce environmental pollution.
Results/Contributions

1. In line with NTHU's Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety and Health Management Policy, various campus sustainability development initiatives are continuously promoted. These include fostering campus biodiversity, responsible dining consumption, green procurement, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and resource recycling and reuse, aiming to create a green campus.

2. The waste cooking oil generated by NTHU's student cafeterias is collected and provided to recycling organizations for conversion into biodiesel and biofuel.

(1) Approximately 15 tons of waste cooking oil were recycled in 2022.

(2) Approximately 12 tons of waste cooking oil were recycled in 2023.

(3) Approximately 19 tons of waste cooking oil are projected to be recycled in 2024.
